Caprese Skewers
Ingredients:
- 20 cherry tomatoes
- 20 mini mozzarella balls (bocconcini)
- 20 fresh basil leaves
- 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tbsp aged balsamic glaze
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
- 20 small wooden skewers
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Ingredients:
- Wash and pat dry 20 cherry tomatoes and 20 fresh basil leaves.
- Drain the mini mozzarella balls and set them aside on a plate.
2. Assemble the Skewers:
- Take one wooden skewer and thread a cherry tomato onto it.
- Add a fresh basil leaf by folding it gently in half, followed by a mini mozzarella ball.
- Repeat the process until all 20 skewers are assembled.
3. Arrange the Skewers:
- Place the skewers on a large serving platter or a wooden board in a neat arrangement.
4. Drizzle with Olive Oil and Balsamic Glaze:
- Drizzle 3 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil evenly over the skewers.
- Follow with 1 tbsp of aged balsamic glaze, creating a decorative drizzle across the platter.
5. Season:
- Sprinkle 1/4 tsp of sea salt and 1/4 tsp of freshly cracked black pepper over the skewers for a final touch.
6. Serve:
- Serve the skewers immediately as a light appetizer or snack.
